From the very beginning, this joyful California wedding at Grace Community Church felt grounded in something deeper. The couple’s unwavering love for Jesus Christ, each other, and their guests was so evident in all of their interactions. The day was filled with so much joy and warmth.

Set in Sun Valley, California, the wedding blended timeless elegance with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The couple chose to have both their ceremony and reception at their church home, which made the day feel especially meaningful. Grace Community Church created such a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony, with soft light pouring through the space as family and friends gathered to celebrate the couple.

There was a peacefulness to the entire day that made documenting it feel effortless.

My favorite moment was just before the bride and groom’s first look. As Katie peeked around the corner and saw Steve standing with his back toward her, her face lit up with the most joy-filled smile. It made me smile just to witness it. As she walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder, the joy spilled over as they saw each other and shared a tender embrace.
