Some weddings just feel romantic and cinematic from the very beginning, and Gabriela and Dan’s Atlanta Botanical Garden + Wrecking Bar Brewpub wedding weekend was exactly that. Their wedding unfolded over two beautiful days in Atlanta, beginning with an intimate ceremony at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
The sun was shining as they walked hand in hand toward their ceremony. Surrounded by beautiful blooms, the birds chirping and the wind blowing her elegant veil – it felt like something straight out of a movie. You didn’t need to add anything because that raw moment already felt like magic.
Their ceremony felt intimate and relaxed, surrounded by their closest family and friends, and elegant pink, white and green flowers. A close family friend officiated the wedding, and it was so special to see his obvious love for the couple shine through in his words.
The next morning felt like a celebration all on its own at the The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel—champagne poured, music playing, bridesmaids laughing and hyping each other up, with just the right amount of sass.
The weekend ended in a lively, heartfelt celebration at Wrecking Bar Brewpub that evening. Warm, inviting, and full of personality, it felt like the perfect contrast to the garden setting. Thoughtful details of the couple were woven throughout the space, with elegant candlelight and flowers continuing the cohesive palette of soft pinks, creams, and greens. The night built naturally into a joyful celebration, ending with a lively Puerto Rican plena-style band that filled the room with rhythm and energy.
When I asked the Bride if she had any advice to Atlanta couples planning their wedding, she said, “Enjoy the process! You only get married once!”
If you’re planning an Atlanta wedding and looking for a day that feels both beautiful and true to you, pairing a garden ceremony with a unique reception space like this is such a perfect way to do it.
