The warm sunshine was streaming thought the tall waving palm trees, lighting everything with warmth and joy for Jonathan and Cassandra’s elegant California wedding day. Set against the iconic architecture of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse, their wedding felt nostalgic and full of classic beauty with the elegant Spanish vibes.
Family and friends gathered beneath the beautiful blue sky as the couple exchanged intimate vows. I loved seeing the huge grins break out on the faces of so many loved ones as these two committed to forever.
One of my favorite moments happened just after the ceremony and family photos. Jonathan and Cassandra chose not to see each other before the wedding, so when it was finally time for bride and groom portraits, they hadn’t had a minute to themselves. I found a shady private spot, put them in place, and immediately walked away, telling them I wanted them to just enjoy each other quietly for a few minutes.
As I stepped far away to give them privacy, their faces lit up with the warmest smiles as they soaked in the moment, just the two of them, now MARRIED! Cassie leaned over for a spontaneous quick kiss full of joy and excitement— such a simple and beautiful candid moment to witness.
The celebration continued at El Paseo Restaurant, where guests gathered for a romantic evening filled with laughter, good food, and the charm of a perfect Santa Barbara night.
Jonathan and Cassandra, it was such a joy to photograph your wedding day. Thank you for trusting me to document such a meaningful season in your lives. May God richly bless your marriage~!
