A + N’s Colorado wedding was a beautiful reflection of who they are—a celebration centered on faith, family, and meaningful traditions. Their day began with a warm ceremony at their family church in Greeley, where they intentionally welcomed their entire church family to celebrate alongside them. Rather than transforming the church into something it wasn’t, they embraced its simple beauty with a “less is more” approach, allowing a few thoughtful floral arrangements and the joy of the people gathered to set the tone.
One of my favorite details was how beautifully they incorporated the bride’s German heritage throughout the day. The flower girls wore traditional Bavarian dresses, and later, family members changed into traditional attire for dinner. The bride and her father even shared their father-daughter dance dressed in traditional Bavarian clothing. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a classic German-style cake buffet featuring multiple homemade cakes, including a wedding cake decorated by the bride’s mother and topped with her grandparents’ vintage bride-and-groom cake topper—a meaningful family heirloom that made the celebration feel even more personal.
The evening continued with an elegant European-inspired reception at Harmony Club, in Timnath, CO, where off-white and gold details paired beautifully with vibrant florals in shades of yellow, blue, pink, and orange. Inspired by the couple’s upcoming honeymoon in Italy, the reception felt intimate, welcoming, and full of conversation around the dinner table.
When I asked the bride what advice she would give future couples planning their wedding, she shared this thoughtful reminder: “Don’t feel silly for doing things early—get things done when you can. The closer the wedding gets, the faster time flies! Remember: the goal is to end up married, not to create a showcase.”
As an Atlanta and Colorado wedding photographer, I love documenting celebrations like this—weddings that beautifully reflect a couple’s story, values, and the people they love most.
